The Site's Creator:

Rob Garza is a part-time history student at a research university in Philadelphia. He is originally from Houston, Texas and grew up listening to Spanish and English at home. He has taken 3 courses in Spanish grammar and is taking more coursework as part of a university requirement for mastery of a second language.

In addition to coursework and life experience, Rob has enlisted the help of native Spanish speakers from Mexico, Spain, and Venezuela who work or study in medicine.

Rob has seen the impact language barriers have on Latinos in both seeking and receiving medical care. This is why he started the Health Care Spanish project in order to alleviate the issues between medical workers and primarily Spanish speaking patients.
